Please share what you are talking about...
If it's the lines, those kind of look like fingerprints...

They don’t wipe off. And don’t have curves of fingerprints.

It looks like it is stained. I would call it damaged.

I was at PMD because the “lines” extend to the rim and would be gone on a circulated coin.
But they are present in the lower area between the eye and the hairline.

    Stained makes sense.

It looks to me like they are etched on it.

There's a process that an album coin can have the print or image transfer. This can also be done with cloth that transfers the cloth pattern to the coin. But again caused by a chemical reaction .

Yeah. It’s in my cleaning/experiment pile.
I’ll see if I can make it go away.

Yeah, at some time the corrosion got into the surface.
Anyone else see the sharp rims?
    Looks like an impaired Proof.
    Pocket piece?

Interesting enigma. At first glance, finger print, but then closer examine, no, because no swirls. Struck through? I'd expect the lines to easily be identified as incused. Squeeze coin? With what, and that too should be able to tell if incused, so that leaves environmental damage. What type? Who knows.

I ran across 'struck through' last night and wondered what it would look like if i were well circulated after leaving the mint.
It went in my mystery pile to be visited again one day.
