New here - just wondering what these would be worth. I have 8 consecutive serial numbers of 1935E $1 Silver Certificates. These are in crisp, crisp condition. No folds to be seen, no ink marks - just nice clean bills. I checked at a local dealer yesterday and the lady offered me a quarter over face value for them. I just can't believe they would be worth so little in the mint shape they are in. They have been air tight sealed in a vault for the last 50 years. thanks in advance for any help.
The 1935E Silvers in Gem go for around 12.50-15.00 each. The signatures are Priest/Humphrey and 5,134,056,000 notes were printed. Do not accept the offer..they more than likely did this because they were raw. and keep the notes. RickieB
heck, even it worn, torn and collored condition, they worth more then 25cents over face. do not go back to that dealer.. they are trying to rip you off BTW ... i gotta luv them CRSIP notes
A quarter over face? HOW GENEROUS! Please DON'T EVER go back to that shop again and tell all your friends the same. Just plain disgusting!
Thanks guys. I will NOT return to that place of business calling themselves a "Coin & Currency Dealer"! It didn't sound right to me so I posted it here. Thanks for all your help! I have several sets of consecutive numbers. Some a series of 8 notes, others 3-5. I wasn't planning on selling them but wanted to know their value. Thank you all again!
