1935 wheat penny with no S or D is it real

    I have a 1935 wheat penny that has no d or s. and I don't know if it's real or just some mint mis Hap

    Yes, it's real, and struck in Philadelphia (thus no mintmark). Over 245 million were minted just like yours.

    Those are what we call 'mintmarks'. They tell us which Mint the coin came from.

    D = Denver (except for gold coins 1838-1861 where the 'D' indicates Dahlonega)

    S = San Francisco

    P (or no mintmark) = Philadelphia

    Neither. It was struck in Philadelphia (not Denver or San Francisco, so no S or D), and coins struck in Philly (at that time) had NO mint mark; what you have is just a plain old 1935 Lincoln cent.

    Not to mention mintmarks seen on other denominations and ages:

    O = New Orleans, LA
    CC = Carson City, NV
    W = West Point, NY
    C = Charlotte, NC
    D = Dahlonega, GA (Gold coins only, mid 1800's)
