I found 1935 wheat penny in my change . On the obverse side where letter O in ONE looks to be smeared upwards .. has anyone ever seen this before ? Thanks for all your help .

It just took a hit .. pushed the metal down and up and "smeared it".

First, welcome to the neighborhood, Lisa!

It appears that you have become interested in error coins, and I'll bet that it is because you've read on other sites that some are worth money. The problem is that you're putting the cart before the horse. There are millions of ways that coins can be damaged while in circulation, but there are only a few ways that this "damage" can be considered a Mint Error. You really need to learn how coins are made before you can tell if one is an error or not. ~ Chris
