1935 S Buffalo Nickel, Damaged?

    I think this is just damage, but I thought I would post it and ask the opinion of others.

    Better pictures might be needed, but looks like it might be some form of Lamination possibly and a die crack? I cannot tell for sure from the pictures. Wait for others to chime in.

    IDK. At first I felt that chunk of metal at the top at 1 o'clock is damage.
    But the crack through the buffs head could be a lamination

    I know, I feel the same way. The top looks like damage, but the area with the Buffalo looks different.

    The area across the shoulder and on the back look like laminations to me.

    I also think the area along the rim is a lamination and during circulation, the metal was displaced. The surface under the displaced metal looks more like the surface from a trapped bubble or contamination and not from metal being gouged. It's hard to tell from the pic and I could be wrong but that's what I think for now

    Some well orientated, good close ups of the reverse might help.
