Just pulled the trigger, and picked up this first year Canada Silver Dollar. This has been one of my favorite Canadian coin series, and wanted a “Georgie” with nice toning for a long time.

Beautiful. I have yet to get a Canadian silver dollar. You got a great one. Congrats.

Thanks. Was just thinking about possibly sending it to NGC, to see if it had a chance at an upgrade, and the star, for color? Think it has a shot at 64+*, or 65*? Just because I have a number of NGC star coins for color.

I like this one, but it does not look star worthy. With world coins, NGC seems to be even more picky; I've seen rainbows on world coins and still no star.

Is an upgrade possible? Maybe, but many of the coins that I have seen in this newest generation of PCGS holder are already maxed out. If you're sending in a submission, it might be worth a try just to satisfy your curiosity and there is always a chance that luck will be on your side.

I think it is graded correctly. Nice one.

I think it is probably graded correctly. I was more hoping for an NGC star, as US coins that I own with very similar toning have gotten the *. Think I will leave it exactly as it is.
