Lou you can look here for varieties on your cent though http://coppercoins.com/diesearch.php?date=1934&date1=1934&page=1
Welcome to the forum Lou! You will find that through the Lincoln Wheat cent series, there are several different fonts used as slight redesigns occurred. And some dates can look a little off if the die fills in with hard packed grease, such as making the "1" shorter. This is not to say that oddities do occur. Several years, the "S" mint mark may be large or small as 2 different sized punches were used, and also some years are known to have an inverted "S" mint mark, so keep looking! Jim
