1931 s Lincoln counterfeit diagnostic

    I've read that one diagnostic regarding true 1931 s cent's is the the 1's in the date are of equal height. Is that diagnostic absolute? I think maybe Bill Fivaz wrote that; can't remember for certain.

    No diagnostic is absolute; especially not this one.

    Think about it: If you are a forger, and you're making struck coins, can you not make your 1's the same size?
