1930 wheat cent

    I know the reverse is pmd, was wondering if the obverse is as well or if not what would cause this.

    Dunno about the type of hit but it was hit and the copper was shifted

    What confuses me is the bottom of the 1 missing and the piece between the 1 and the larger part coming from the rim.

    Yes, part of the rim was hit and pushed into the field, but the 2nd & 3rd marks are parts of Lincoln's coat, not the rim. The "1" may be from the same event, but that is just a guess.
