1929 Farthing

    1/4d Farthing
    Seated Britannia
    King George V
    Die Crack ?

    Looks more like a planchet crack to me.

    I would agree - lol - not that I'm in any position to disagree with Doug! Planchet crack because a die crack would leave a raised line across the coin and this looks like a recessed line. I am a little surprised that there is no evidence of the crack that I can see on the reverse.

    Thanks guy's I found it last night when I was sorting my Farthings and it compleatly threw me, it is not something one normaly finds on British coins LOL as Darryl say's there is no evidence of the crack on the other side of the coin.
