Looks like a variation of a wood grain cent. "Woody" cents are are common and the effect is made from mistake in the metal preparation. Seems like what you have could be something alike
I like the woody cents. Save every one i come across. I don't happen to have one yet. Those holes are empty in my book. Kinda has the look of a copper cent that sat in acetone for quite a while IMO.
