    It's damage. Can't quite tell what happened but that did not happen at the mint.

    PMD. You should always post FULL SIZE photos (after uploading photo click on full image below each one) and make sure the photos are well focused, correctly orientated, full obverse and reverse, without any confusing background showing, to get the best answers.

    Looks like a jewelry job. Perhaps a tie tack or cuff link. Or would that be cuff Lincoln?
