I have a chance to buy a 1927-S MS62 RED. "In our opinion, this coin 62ed only because of its somewhat "mushy" strike, but it is free from other distractions!"

Does anyone have any idea what the going price is? The only price I can find is a 1996 sale at Heritage. I don't think 12 year old pricing is worth too much. PCGS says 63 RED is $750. Any help appreciated.

Sorry about the pics, but they ae all I have.

Very nice coin, I had a 1927 S MS 63 RD that I sold for $800 last year so you should be in at $600 to 700 easy.

Don't I wish you were right. There is a big drop from 63 to 62. On top of that, I would bet your 63 was PCGS, not NGC, and you still did VERY well for PCGS.

On May 31 Heritage sold a PCGS MS62 RB for $258.75.

Look at the redbook price for a 63 and offer that. :)
