Please see the attached photo and offer opinions as to if it is a Double Die. Note the letters in the word ONE.
    Thanks.

By the way, everyone, I inadvertently called this an obverse. It is apparent that it is a reverse. Sorry for the mistake.

The fields look rounded, and seem to be higher than the rim...? and where is the rim? its almost non existent..
Although i don't look at very many peace dollars, never had one, but to me it looks like a possible fake..

Also check out the placement of that mintmark... Looks waaay weird in its placement.

See how fat this rim is... see the mint mark? how center it is.. How its lined up between the O and the N in one. Your mint mark seems to be way off like the person was drunk or something..

I'll get some more pictures, but, there is no mint mark on the 1927 P.

I think the rays around the affected area should also have significant doubling. I'm no expert but,
Where do you see a mint mark?

I don't think it's a doubled die. It seems the rays in the affected area should also have significant doubling. This one has me stumped. Could be a fake. Could be machine doubling. You should check the weight and, diameter. Hope I'm wrong. That would be a nice discovery!!!

That’s a mint mark or what used to be a mint mark. Even looks like an S 113F84CE-3808-498E-A54C-CAB149D8BFFE.jpeg

Here are some full photos. The weight is 26.78 and the diameter is 38.10. There is not even a blemish where a mint mark would be. The entire field has the same texture throughout.
