    I have been searching for this coin in "Medal alignment" orientation. but the only ones I have seen or bought were "Coin alignment".
    Krause indicates the orientation is Medal alignment.
    Anyone have a Medal alignment coin?

    Can you show us? Hold it up to a mirror to see the other side.

    If yours is a coin alignment then it would be a 180 degree rotation strike. I would imagine.

    Numista also states it is Medal Alignment

    That's all that is needed.. It is indeed a coin alignment. Interesting.

    How many others have you seen or own?

    I have seen only one pic. of a mirrored 1927 H 5 cents coin in medal alignment, but cannot find the site again. All others were in coin alignment. Heritage Auctions sold an MS65 (CA) for $1995. I have a few.

    I found one on eBay. The seller shows the label so I checked on the NGC Verify.. It is also Coin Alignment

    @GSDykes
    I don't know if you saw this thread with the same coin on another thread the OP created and my findings.

    I wrote another thread about this coin, got a lot of replies, but no one seems to know much about this coin. I'm still searching for the medal alignment pic. I saw on the net. I suspect the Krause listing for this coin is incorrect. I also think the error was caught by Heaton after the run of coins. I will update this post when I fine more info.

    While the Krause catalogs are a great resource, they are known to contain errors, some small and some significant. If your research shows all coin alignment and no medal alignment, then this could be another mistake on their part.

    Numista has it as Medalic alignment also.

    Numista cites Krause as source and so do others; therefore, all roads lead to Krause error.
