1927 D Wheat Penny with faint D above D, can you see it?

    Hi all, hey, have a look at this wheat penny I came across the other day. First the D is much lower from the date than a normal 1927 D, also note the D is not the same size as a normal 1927 D. If that ain't enough, have a look above the D, do you see a faint D in the pics? Hopefully the pics I took will do it justice. Can you see it? 1927 D MM Cropped.jpg 1927 D normal mint mark.jpg

    Thanks guys for your feedback, Frank, I'm with you on this, that's why I put this out there, I see the phantom D looking at it with my loop, I see it under my digital scope and I took it to work and use our high res Keyence camera. I see it....but am I just hoping I see it? Would you guys agree the D looks larger than the D from the second pic?
