Why is this coin so valuable one it makes it above the MS63 grade? Greysheet on an MS63RB is under $400, but once it makes the leap to MS64RD the value skyrockets to almost $10,000!! I have access to the NGC pop report and they show a population of MS64 and higher coins 61 in BN, 133 in RB and only 6 in full RD. I understand a full red is extremely rare and that could be the cause for the gigantic leap in pricing. Does anyone have access to the PCGS population reports for this year/mintmark? I am curious to know how many are out there that have been graded. Greysheet does not price coins at MS64RB or MS65RB. What would be a fair price on a coin graded in MS64RB or MS65RB? I know grading is subjective and I will not buy the slab just because it has the grade designated on the label. I am looking for a higher grade 1926s and am just looking for a starting point in my research. Thanks for your help! RR
yea true rarity in such a high grade is important i love Lincoln cents im findint in 1.au55 and up in the 60-120 price range..
PCGS has 39 BN, 154 RB and 67 RD in MS64. In MS65 they have 4 BN, 12 RB and 1 RD. It looks like BN's are almost as rare in high grade.
