1925 Standing Liberty (Die Error?)

    Take a look at this 1925 Standing Liberty Quarter. Look at the close up of the date. What caused that to happen ? As you can see, there's no immediate damage to the edge underneath the date.

    Looks like someone took a knife or some other sharp object to it IMHO. I could be wrong though. I think it's pretty neat though, and there is the big chance I could be wrong. :)
