I was looking through some wheat cents i bought and found a 1925 D cent with a weird D. Now i'm not sure what to think because it looks like an S to the left of the D but there is also damage on the 9 that could have damaged the D making it look like an S. what do you think? http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx131/jon4485/CIMG2381.jpg
The portion you are thinking might be a "S" doesn't seem to have the same symmetry as that used in 1925. The left part of the upper loop isn't as acutely curved as you see here. I suspect it is damage and not an OMM. IMO. Jim
It appears to be PMD. The dent in the 9 has an arc to it that continues on the upper corner of the D. That's my opinion. Which along with a buck and some change will buy you a cup of coffee.
