I probably posted this coin a couple years ago, but I just sold it, so it is the last time I can post it again. In all my years of searching and buying these coins, this is only the second I've seen with this amount of rotation. The other one I bought raw, and got it graded with NGC, who notated the rotation as an error. Since this one came in an OGH, I decided to leave it that way. It is sad to sell, but it was a good offer, so had to take it.
Neat coin . . . I cannot recall handling an Indian Quarter Eagle rotated this much, and I've had my fair share.
For a Gold Indian, that's a lot of rotation. I have the complete set but I still want a 1911-D Weak D. I have the strong D but I haven't seen any close to this. It's a great looking coin.
My first one was dumb luck. I bought a raw coin on ebay, and you could not tell in their pictures it was rotated. It showed up and I was thrilled! This one I could tell it was rotated since it was graded, but the seller was not advertising it as such. I still paid a premium, but not as much as I should have!
Not gonna say the exact amount, though I'm sure there are ways to find out, but more than twice price guide.
