1925 Buffalo Nickel - Two Feather?

    That's not a two feather variety.

    The two feather variety seems more common in several years, unlike the three legged buffalo.

    Hard to tell with the verdigris right over the third feather. It looks like there is a trace of a third feather underneath the green.

    Look at the neck outline on the one Mountain Man shows above and compare with the one in question. When the feather is removed by over repair and polishing over the life of the die, the back outline of the neck also is affected similarly. IMO, Jim

    a few months ago I might have taken a brush to it looking for the 3rd one...we live & we learn :) The difference in the neck line sold me. Thanks Jim
