1924 walking liberty gold dollar what is it Worth?

    I found this among my Mom's collection ms-64 is what condition it is in.

    Angus, the mint did not produce a "walking liberty " gold dollar in 1924. Gold dollars were produced from 1849-1889. I suspect that what you might have is a "walking liberty" half dollar that may have been gold plated. Could you post a pic of this coin?

    Saint Gaudens is a $20 piece. Far cry from $1.....

    true, but they did make them in 1924, they were gold, and there is a lady on the front. who knows just a guess with the description given

    My thought exactly!! Post a pic angus before you start a beef. Sorry for the bad joke. :D But seriously if you can post a pic, that would be a bad thing if it is a St. Gaudens and you don't know it. :thumb:
