Hmm. What type of light did you photograph it under, cause it looks better than that. Halogen lights are supposed to show imperfections in silver the best.

I only saw three contact marks.

I retract my MS65. I'm now thinking MS62. Not! Seems like a rather harsh grade to me.

It seems NGC has been very conservative IMO since these new format holders came out. IDK if it's just the coins I've looked at or they're trying to re-invent themselves so to speak. With that said I don't think you guys noticed all the hits in the hair and the rub on both sides of the coin. This is a semi expensive coin iirc above 63, so that may have played a factor

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Yes, they have been a bit more conservative. In my opinion, that is a good thing - both TPGs were getting a little loose.

The coin in question has dull luster (which will kill a grade), and has a number of fine tickmarks throughout the fields. These are hard to see in the original pictures, but the slab shot shows them more clearly. I would have guessed 63 personally (I think 62 might be just a tad low, based on teh pictures), but I'm not surprised by the grade given.
