I can't capture the luster, but the surfaces are clear. What do you think.

Yeah it's pretty obvious.

 

The die file lines on the obverse are striking, even moreso that vertical band from the hair down thru RV where they do not reach. Makes me wonder what exactly happened to prompt the polishing.

I can't help but think it slightly circulated, from this one set of images. Better than AU55 if so; this might be one of the rare moments I actually toss out the "AU58" grade. What is your characterization of that curved line between the back of the eye and the hair?

 

I think it was a hair....lol

 

I'm actually relieved - it sure didn't look like a scratch/PMD and as a from-the-Mint feature it'd be a major discovery.
