I found this coin when trying to find my Grandfather's coin collection in his old basement in a plastic pocket type thing and a small slip of paper that had the words "Gem BU" on it. I was just curious what you guys thought of this since I'm just starting into the world of coin collecting Sorry for bad quality/lighting, pretty bad at taking pictures of coins right now.
Welcome to CT , IT'S A NICE UNC Peace dollar , but on the low end in condition , there are 11 grades of Unc called MS mint state , the cool thing it's priceless because it was your grandfathers , keep it in your family . Your Grandfather would be happy knowing someone in the family is taking care of his coins . rzage
don't let that one sit around, get it in some sort of coin protector, 2x2 flips are the cheapest. I have a coin from my grand dad and he wrote on the flip the date when he gave it to me and signed it, kinda cool.
thanks, it is in one, probably why it is in decent condition, since the basement was a terrible place to keep coins in the first place
