1923 Liberty Dollar

A friend just found a 1923 Liberty dollar on the ground on our ranch.

It has lady liberty on the front and an eagle on the back.

What is it worth?

If it was found on the ground probably worth about the 11$ in silver content it has. It may be worth a few more dollars than that but most likley not.

Probably been there for 60 years without anyone finding it.

Its silver melt value is $9.87 so a dealer would probably give you about $8.50 for it.

This guy was just walking along with his eyes on the ground and spotted the coin. Might not be worth all that much but the story is priceless.
