Hey guys... Ive got one of these 1923 'F' 5 rentenpfennig coins, and I have been informed that they are rare, and valuable. Do any of you know what the mintage figures are for this mint mark and year, or any other pertinent information on this coin? I would like to sell it, but I don't know anything about it. edited

Thanks guys! you have all the answers...

The '23-D, '23-F, '23-G and '24-A are included in 1 mintage number - 171,966,000. Doesn't sound too scarce to me. Value for the '23-F ranges from $35 in F to $225 in BU according to krause.

The 23 F, 5 Rentenpfennig minted in Stuttgart is a scarce coin, valued in german catalogues at 80-110 Euros in SS (Very Fine), about $ 150 today . Not unusual for US catalogue valuations to be much lower for german coins than valued in Germany.

I agree with Eduard, prices on German catalogs as follows:

    vf 93.00US$ xf 155.00US$ unc 255.75US$

Can you post a picture ?

I am not sure if there is anything rare about that mintmark, but in general the Rentenpfennigs are not rare.
