1922 VAM 7 2F Hot 50 Question

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by NoLincolnCents, Aug 9, 2014.

  1. Hello,

Apologies as I remembered I used to be a member of this forum. I just realized it today but do not remember my old account information since it's been so long.

Anyway, I posted a hot 50 peace dollar VAM on here before and I want to post it again because I think I see a few places where it could have a mirror proof.

The places are directly under the 1 in 1922 and to the right of the eagle. Should I pay the 25$+final grading fee to PCGS restoration to see if the white coating is foreign material and covering the proof if that's what it is? I know it's an ugly coin from age but it's still cool for a hot 50.

That's not a proof. The rim would be built up much higher for a low relief '22.

    Kirkuleez 80 proof

it would have been a high relief with a matte finish in 1922.
