i put these 3 coins on the "coin chat" forum on 2/12/12 and i got some good responses, but, no one gave me an approx value. it was suggested i slab the 14 and 22, but i don't want to do that at this time as i do not plan to sell them.
they have been in a book since the 60's, so i think they are probably authentic. please note the 1914 D appears to have been cleaned on the obverse only. looking for approx values only.
    thanks for any help!

The simple fact that you have had them for 50 years does not indicate that they are authentic. There were lots of counterfeits back then also.

I would venture that the 14-D has been cleaned on both sides. XF details. That is nice enough I would guess $500.

That 22- is a nice coin. Also XF. I would think you could get $2000 if slabbed. You may have trouble selling that one unslabbed.

    09-S VF-20/25 $150.

1914D - EF details, cleaned, but a nice coin still $300 raw.
1922 plain - DP2, strong rev, about $2000 if authentic, should be slabbed!
    1909S - VF20 $140

Thanks for the help. Wow, those are good coins, I am very happy.
But, I Remember reading somewhere that grading has changed recently and some coins should be broken out and regraded to maybe get a higher grade. I do not plan on selling these coins at this time, so should I wait to slab them hoping they would grade higher in the future?
    Thanks for your help.

get them slabbed because it protects them and authenticates them, also gives a guarantee value of them
