    Hi Dustin,

    Certified by which company? Photos?

    Reasons I ask:
Some certification companies are known for poor grading, purposely or not.
Photos because as is commonly said, buy the coin and not the holder.

    Thanks

    Jim

I paid $800 for mine 2 years ago which is low end for the assigned grade.

This is really the key. If it's not PCGS or NGC then odds are it isn't MS65.

PCS is not a reputable grading company, and it shows, that coin is definitely not MS65, it's been polished and has AU details.

Good I am glad that I didn't because I was almost sure that the grade was at least 64 not 65 there was a slight scratch on it so I was hesitant THANKS A LOT!!

His pictures are grossly overexposed, but my guess would be AU cleaned from what I can make out.

Agreed, there is no way to tell anything about that coin with those pictures. Combine that and the "grading company" and it is clear the seller is hiding something. Good thing you stayed away.

Right you are Dustin. For a purchase that big, Ebay is fraught with peril. I am nowhere near as experienced as many of the other helpful people here but my advice is to only bid on items that are being sold by sellers that you have found are reputable when bidding on Ebay. There are so many bogus grading services out there and for the most part they have been started &/or supported by big sellers on Ebay.

Some of the posters have written that you buy the coin not the grade. That's great advice but I think on Ebay that you buy the seller and not the coin or the grade.
