http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280701842139&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Hello I am considering if I will have this 1921 peace, but have a few question I like answered before I decide to give in.. Is this coin by your knowledge toned or tarnished? Plus What would be your estimate on the grade? P.S. I know it says Au but I seriously doubt it. Thank you for your time.
No way that coin is AU - it is beat up pretty bad. I'm sure you could find a better one for a similar price or a few dollars more. Base the condition on the asking price which according to my new coin prices magazine @ $120 that coin qualifies as VG8 , probably been cleaned at some point too...
I see well thank you again for your time and comment. Wasn't really sure on splurging the money on this one just yet. Feeling somewhat nice I didn't.
Item description says Extra Fine. It feels like an ugly idea, writing "AU-MS60 $175" on the 2x2 flip, which could possibly trick a buyer into thinking "oh, the seller thinks its extra fine, but in reality its MS60, i must buy it, its an awesome deal."
StandingPride - just buy one slabbed by NGC or PCGS. There is little price difference from VF to AU for these.
Here i Here s an example of what you should be able to get for around $100-$125. I picked this one up at a show for $105 and I'm very happy with it.
HA HA HA... No. I just got crazy with them I guess. I love a good chuckle now and then and you make me chuckle friend. :thumb:
the description said the coin is TARNISHED obverse & reverse. for 100$ I think I'll better look around with a better looking one.:thumb: I think this coin below is better than one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280704244825&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
No doubt that's a nice one but I thought he said he was looking for a 1921 Peace Dollar. Either way that's a bueat of a 26.
