    Hello everybody!
I am currently working on a US peace dollar collection. The coin dealer I typically go to has some peace dollars but only recently received several 1921 high relief coins. There's one that I believe is around au-55 maybe au-58 obverse ms-62 reverse. The dealer offered to sale it to me for 140 which is ef-40 price. I am just nervous b/c I have not seen that many high relief 21's to believe my grading skills and red book price is 180 for au50. Any advice to grab it or let it go?

    Thanks
    Rob

I have a 1921 and personally I think everyone should have one! Of course the difference is a bit subtle and some collectors don't care for them much or prefer something else. If I didn't have one already and I was offered that sweet deal I'd jump on it! That said, to be honest with you I would probably like mine better tho! Here's mine VF-30! :D

Just a heads up, I prefer the gun metal toning on coins! ;) :D

Thanks fret, that's a beauty you have, The other part is it's unslabbed I trust my coin dealer and undecided about tpgs. I would never sell my collection unless I am in a pinch finacially and having your coins verified is always are a good thing.

First off the Red book prices usually are not a good guide,as if a series may get hot and/or cold after the book is published 6 months early.
Greysheet price(dealer to dealer) for an xf are 120 bid 130 ask and au is 135/145 so the price are about right unless there is a problem with the coin.

After buying 2 1921s on ebay only to return them I bought a nice AU coin from a dealer in my local area at a show. I'm very happy with it and I paid $130. I'd seriously consider buying the coin offered to you if you like it and it has no problems. The 1921 Peace $ is a coin you just can't have too many of.

im more of a morgan person but, either way i would like to have a cool peace dollar collection aswell :) I've noticed that the morgans and peace dollars are still mostly in good condition? why is that..they didn't circulate much back then?I mean they are at least 85-100 years old :s.

In the entire history of our country there has never, ever, been a dollar coin that circulated much. People just don't like them, they never have and still don't.
