I am looking for opinions on condition and possible value for the coins in the pics at this link: http://photos.msn.com/Slideshow/Vie...GIGgOPXBotYNhUi3RMl3iUKrm1E5lUolkbo8$&index=3
The 1921-P looks like it is in AG-3 condition, but has been harshly cleaned. I would estimate a retail price of $10-$15. The 1921-D looks like it is in G-4 condition, and I would estimate the retail price to be $35-$55. Just my humble opinion, though.
You know, Jody, I almost responded earlier today but I figured the damage was done Or does CT know something the rest of us don't
Oh... OK. I didn't make the connection. Cave Troll signed off with the initials, "CD", and my wife"s initials are "CT", so you can see how I got mixed up. No, Susun, I don't think Cave Troll has any inside info. There's really not much to tell. I'm a 6 ft., 240 lbs., 45 yr. old truck driver. I've been married to Carolyn, since 1980, and I like to talk to people, like you all, about coins.
I am very sorry about the mistake! There was no offense intended, I just didn't know and made a wrong assumption. As for me signing my post CD, those are my propper initials, whereas the Cave Troll is my favorite character in a card game that I play base on the Lord of the Rings movies.
Don't you worry about that. I know you weren't trying to be mean. That mistake happens a lot. I was just having a little fun, by pretending to be upset. I'm too old to let little things, like that bother me.
