1921 morgan

    hi where do I look on a morgan for the mint marks I am new. Also is there a mint mark on an 1889 morgan and if so where do I look? thanks

    On the reverse, look directly below the center fether of the Eagle's tail, below the bow of the wreath. Don't know if the wording is correct, but you will get the idea. If there is nothing there is was minted in Phili.

    Yes...There is a P-CC-O-S on the 1989 Morgans--On where to look--look at the same place Georgia Steffen told you too--If you don't see a mint mark it is 10 times out of 10 it's a "P".

    Also if you have a RED BOOK they al ways tell where to look for a mint mark.

    thanks so much for your help found the S on the 1922 peace dollar thanks again the 1889 morgan has none so must be P thanks again
