Hello, My parents use to own a grocery store back in the 90s and they saved all the coins from then till now and I found this morgan dollar coin and I noticed that it had wrinkles on her lips. I took a magnifying glass under led white lights to check if they were cuts. What is confusing to me is that the "wrinkles" or cuts are both within the lining of the lips and im trying to figure out if it's valuable or not before I just sell it off. I posted few pictures on another forum few minutes ago so no responses yet. Thank you for your help.

It looks like PMD to me, probably caused by a hit from the reeded edge of another silver dollar.

I thought so...probably will just sell it for what ever it's going for...

Thank you by the way! I'll just put it up for auction on ebay...maybe someone might buy it for more than the market price

Nice coin. :) Whatever you do, don't try to remove the "tarnish" or "clean up" the coin. You'll only end up making it completely unappealing to a collector. Besides, it looks great with a little circulation on it. :)

Thank you all for your replies. Quick question tho, is it worth appraising? Or should I just leave it in an album?

Its not worth appraising since its worth $20. If you like it I would just leave it in an album

I'd say probably a bit more than that, but not much. Definitely not worth having certified.
