Here are three cheap Notes I picked up today. The only question, I know I should know this, but because they do not say silver certificate, and they are not FDN's, what would you classify them as? I am talking about the first two. The last $5 is a silver cert. Prices: 2 Dollar Note- $6 $5 Red Seal- $15 $5 Blue Seal Silver- $8. Thanks for Looking! PS: Off topic, but if anyone knows off Ski Shops in Lewiston, Waterville, or Brunswick, Maine I am looking for a new pair of skis for cheap. I'm going on a college visit to Colby, Bates and Bowdoin and just want to stop at any decent ski shop........Thanks!!!!
anything red like that $2 and $5 are legal tenders as RickieB said. Blue is silver cert i love them silver certs lol nice notes!
I let go a Large Note 1923 Star for $45. It was in G-F condition. Do you think that would be a good deal?
United States Notes (legal tender notes) were directly issued by the United States Treasury (as opposed to Federal Reserve Notes, which are issued by the Fed). Here's a blurb that seems pretty accurate to me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Note
i dont think it was a great deal. $45 for a good grade ... throw in the star however ... im not sure ...
