1920 S Dime With Damage

    This is the first time I have send this particular damage. It looks like it was held in a locket or good luck charm, but, the pattern is different than any I have seen before. I just found it today 1920 S damaged OBV.jpg 1920 S damaged REV.jpg in my accumulation.

    Yes, that definitely looks like the prongs of a holder. Definitely damaged.

    Looks like it was "pinch in" around a backing plate, possibly with a ring to hang it as a pendant. I have seen coins mounted that way from 100 years ago, (still mounted).
