This is another Lincoln that was awaiting a really good inspection. I discovered it is a misaligned die. jeankay
1920 P Lincoln replay Then I decided to put it in a slab. After getting it in that rubbery insert I realized this coin was not quite right... as you can see. It is also a rotated die, which I understand is quite common with misaligned die strikes. jeankay
Nice find Jeankay, Have to love those lincolns. There are so many more errors and varieties out there just waiting for us to find them. Keep up the good work. Bill
Jean, Nice find! Does the coin have an 8 degree Counter-Clockwise rotated Reverse or is it 172 degrees rotated out? Frank
Thank You Becky... it was quite an unexpected 'turn of event' with this coin. Hey bizzybilly... yep, I still have a lot of these to search again and again. Thanks andy21us... a fun find for me. Amazing how I didn't realize the anomaly when I was taking pictures. Hi Frank... just when I thought I had found a hobby that did not require math, along comes a funny guy with such a question. I had to look through all the junk drawers to find a compass or protractor, or whatever that silly thing is called, and am trying to measure it. Far as I can tell it could be either, or the other, or both. No, just kidding. To the best of my mathematical ability I believe the coin to be about 8 degrees counter clockwise. Thanks again, everyone. It is great to get a few slaps on the back from all of you. jeankay
