Can't be a 1921. The did not mint any cents in Denver that year.

Sorry, I couldn't tilt my head 90 degrees to inspect the 2nd picture.
So I'll go with a 1 too as above.

Also looks like it could have been a 0, but its impossible to tell for sure.

Can't tell what it is from the photo. They are usually 1920.
Although, the 1920's D mints can be good coins, too bad this is destroyed.

Like most of the others, I believe it is a 1921, but in the condition it's in, what difference does it make? If you are trying to complete an album, find a coin with a readable date.

As far as condition, the 22 weak D's reverse can have a soft reverse, or a sharp reverse which should guide one when purchasing for a collection. The obverses are are always muddy. This coin is clearly a 21.

No it isn't, because of the D mintmark, as pointed out. You fell into the same trap I did.

It might be pareidolia, but I'm now thinking I see the ghost of a 6 where the last digit was.

And yes, there were 1926-D cents. ;)

I agree, the "1" is too high, 6 is most likely. I had to refresh my point of view as I don't delve into Linc's very often anymore. I do have a 22 weak date which I pulled out. Has an Vf-30 reverse. FSc 01-1922-401. Got to photo this as well as some evasion pieces and colonials I put away and forgot about. So many coins, so little time. Cheers
