This is another coin I have had for a while and it appears to have either been struck through grease or has some other weird strike error. Any input would be appreciated as to it's type of error and if it is worth anything.

Something like this would be better served to be posted in the "errors" section. You'll get more feedback regarding your piece there. PM one of the mods to see if they could move it for you.

And welcome to the forum dear fellow......:)

It would sure help if I could see the whole coin straight on, but my guess is that the reverse of that coin has seen some acid or similar. I cannot make out anything weird about the date.

I hate it when people post the same thread

I so very sorry for upsetting your sensitive nature! I was following the advice of someone who said it would be better suited to be on the error coin section. I am just trying to learn the system and to fit into the community in the best way possible. You are not a very nice neighbor and my opinion is that if you do not have anything polite, positive or helpful to say please do not reply to my posts.
Thank You and have a very plesant remainder of your day!

I'm sorry for my manners. Welcome to CT! It looks like double strike, but I'm no expert. Sorry if I was rude! I didn't know it wasn't on the error section.

Not a problem, as I said I am new to the site and I am still learning. Thanks for the input.

Looks similar to those dipped in acid.

As I said in his other thread, I think it is a little closer than "similar".

I do apologize for not having read the other thread to know what your post said there. .

Sorry, I meant no slam to you. I just think 2 threads on the same coin ought to be combined so such does not happen.

How would I go about combining or removing one of the threads so not to continue to confuse others?

You can't, but a moderator should have before it got this far.

    ENOUGH!!!

Look, the OP made a duplicate posting...it happens. Rather than raking him over the coals for it (remember...new member, doesn't know all the rules)...why not simply report the thread. There is a little triangle with "!" inside of it on the bottom bar of each post. Simply click it and it sends all the mods a message and we can fix the problem. Now, I don't want to hear any more about this matter. The threads have been merged and it's done. From now on, report it.
