Hi, I was wondering if the M and E in America are mint errors or just pmd. Opinions greatly appreciated.

Welcome to CT @Darthjader. Your cent is mostly copper and being such a soft metal, it can be moved and shifted with even light hits, so being in circulation as long as your coin, it has taken numerous hits and moved some of the material, changing the way it looks, so just PMD IMHO.
