1919-D Mercury Dime

    is that machine doubling? I've never been able to tell the difference.

    Other than that, what do you think this grades as?

    Yup. Notice how it reduces the devices. Looks mid-AU

    I agree with @Cascade, it's machine doubling and a mid AU coin.

    Here is an example of machine or strike doubling followed by a true doubled die of the same date.

    Notice in the strike doubling how the details are smeared out and not separated. Compare that to the doubled die and the details are separate.
