I found this 1918 wheat with an unusual lump under the date where the mint designation usually is. Is this rare? Any value? thanks, pfc
Howdy pfc - Welcome to the Forum !! It's possible that is the result of a die chip, but given the date I doubt it. And it doesn't look quite right for a die chip. I would think it is more likely somebody tried to alter the coin and bungled the job. If so - no value whatsoever.
