    Trying to consolidate to pay for some cents for my wheat cent collection & was wondering what I should sell this for. Thanks any feedback is appreciated

    you can check ebay sold listings and compare to yours, but do not use the pics u have here if u sell as i for one pass right over listings that show a coin being held like that....

    It's been fairly heavily cleaned, so price guides and auction listings would be difficult to determine the value. I would think you will get somewhere in the $12-15 range for it. But yes, always hold the coin by the edge.

    Agreed @ken454 best place to look is on ebay on what they've sold. I'd rather you kept your coin and got some wheat cents. I don't think selling that will net as much as you'd like to help with your goal of collecting wheat cents. What exactly are you looking for in wheat cents when it comes to years/mints and grade?

    You're doing better than I also as I do not yet own a VDBS. I do not consider the 1922 an issue to worry about as like the 55 D/D it should not be included in albums or folders as it was a variety.

    I would grade it VG-Details, harshly cleaned/polished. It is probably worth somewhere around $10-$12.
