1918 Buff

    I acid restored this one. Anyone see a 7 under the 8?

    Not I, the shaft of the 7 should give a almost flat edge on the inside of the loops towards the middle of the loop, making the inside of each loop almost a semicircle.

    There were some threads on coincommunity's forum on the markers to tell if you had one without the date view. You might search there.

    This one doesn't have a 7 visible. Also, it is the 1918/1917 D that is known. I am not aware of such a die variety on a P mint five-cent coin.
