I sent in a 1930 Fh and a 1917 type 1 FH to NGC the 1930 does not look as good as the 1917 it came back a great grade I was not satisfied with the grade on the 1917 so I sent it to another grading service it came back with the same grade. I looked at a 1917 on ebay that did not look any where close to the way mine looks and it was a very high grade some of my friends have looked at the coin and they all have agreed with me so know I'm going to post some pic. of it and let you guy's be the judge. 100_2176.jpg

Yeah, these pictures are way too small to get an idea of the grade. But, if you can provide bigger pictures we would be happy to give your our opinions.

Considering that multiple graders at each grading service all agreed on the same grade, it's likely it's in it's given grade for a reason.

The 1930 quarter has less details than the 1917 and had a higher grade the 1917 I seen on ebay looked like crap and it had a higher grade than my 1917 I think it has something to do with who sends in the coin and also the difference in price that one grade higher makes. I guess if I has someone like heritage sending in alot of coins to be auction off I would get better grades maybe I'm wrong that's just the way I feel.

Not necessarily. I dont send in many coins... but from time to time we get better grades then expected but we also get coins graded lower then we expected as well. I am going to take a guess and say that they called the coin posted an AU58??

I once bought a small collection and it contained a graded coin from PCGS. It was a 1970 Kennedy half graded Proof 68 DCAM. It was one of the ugliest coins I've ever seen. The fields were totally hazy and non-reflective. I ended up selling it for melt.

Here is the 1917 pic. I cant get them any larger I tried to zip them but its telling me the file is still to big. I tried another program I have which is RAR. but this website does not reconize it. So if any one wants a larger pic of the coins email me your address and I will zip the pictures and send them to you.

a photo hosting site like tinypic will let you insert a link to a larger size pic and it shows up larger here as well.
