1917 pennia, value?

    Wow, not too shabby, thanks jody, and yeah It appears to be somewhere between ms 60 - 62. Has some nice toning goin on too. Thanks.

    Pennycase,there are 2 types of Finnish coins for 1917.The one that you have scanned is that of the White Regime,which was sympathetic to the regime of Alexander Kerensky in Russia.The Czarist one is listed as being quite common,but I think that the Czarist 1917 coins from Finland are extremely underrated.

    EnglishRed3x3This is the so called "Kierenskij" variation, with NO CROWN over the Russian Eagle. Due to the revolution in Russia this year. It is a variety emissed by Marskalk Kierenskij I, the Grand Duchery of Finland when the circumstances in Russia still were unclear. It is traditionally of GREATER value than thhe NORMAL Crowned Eagle.
