Looking for some facts about this coin, also does anyone have an idea what the RLS stands for imprinted on the face of the coin? I'm sure we can all guess what the hole through it was used for! Thank you everyone. Regards- Jay
Those are likely somebody's initials that were counterstamped for no particular reason other than to indicate who it belonged to. There was however a jeweller, in I beleive in Vancouver, B.C., who counterstamped Canadian silver dollars, starting in 1935, with the intials "J.O.P", that sell for big dollars. They are scarce and see them advertised starting at $600.00 in A.U condition.
