This is nice coin you will probably not make out the s you have to look really hard to see it it's hard for me to see it and it's in my hand with a 5x I think it's a RPM and on the back it looks like some kind of break in it I don't believe that is a scratch it's way to deep can any body help me with this it looks like a RPM and some kind of break on the back pretty old coin.
Looks like a scratch to me! The mint mark has years of circulation wear. Not a RPM! Dude.. It's New Years here in the East Coast of the US. Leave the coins for later!.. Happy New Year everyone!
I put it in a 2x2 I believe it's some kind of error that year I Read a little bit about this coin I believe they did have some with RPM I just don't know about the break look on the back.
Here's the only known RPM for the date. But I am a little skeptical on this. Have a look at your specimen. http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1916&die_id=1916s1mm001&die_state=mds
i It's a new year I just wanted to show what I got to start a new year it's going to be a good year I feel it that is about every thing let's get back to what the world was before this mask thing and staying right in the house is getting old my family and my coins all I have right now . happy new year Paddy man all you Guy's hope you have good year no matter what you like doing live life like it's you're last day every day try it you might like it that is how I live every day. That is why I take my coin collection very serious I'm building a collection for my grad babies I'm getting ready to be a pawpaw in a couple months can't wait.
I have A lot of time off collection coins for my babies I probably want give these coins up for at least 20 more years.
It's fun building sets for others that they can appreciate once we are gone (and maybe before we are gone).
I was compelled to have a look at my Whitman folders for Lincoln cents to see if I had found some of the low mintage coins you found. I was lucky enough to find a 16S and a 15D, although my 15D looks pretty nasty (I may pop it out to give it a Verdicare bath). Lower mintage coins: 22.6 and 22.1M. Those are harder to find than the 1909 and the 1909 VDB. I'm pretty sure those two were found in the late 70s by my brother and I when we searched rolls as kids. Finding those with scarcity and obsolescence today is a real treat!! Consider that when you look at them next!
It's one heck off a fine and those date's you are talking about I am not done looking I open another roll it's full off wheat Penny's to I don't know were all these wheat Penny's are coming from these Penny's I am open came from the back but this Bank I go to has a lot of wheat Penny's 2 or3 in every roll done this plenty times I got wheat Penny's coming out of my ear's Yeah those date's are hard to fine I guess they had a low mintge that year I have a 1926 got it out off a quarter machine was on the end of the the machine it was all ready in a 2x2 all ready put a few quarters in it finally got it to drop got a 1950 that same day crazy but I didn't put two many quarters in the machine all my coins has a story behind it I want for get.
The more I look at this fine I have found it's crazy this stuff is like a dream I just can't Wake up from I'm still finding wheat Penny's in the roll's I got from the Bank. I just found a1957 d pretty nice coin I have been going all night looking for coins I'm on a roll I don't won't to stop.
