I know this is a date with a high mintage but if anyone has seen the 'newest acquisition' thread I've recently started putting together a buffalo nickel set with my two daughters (6,4) in an album. I bought a few lots of random date buffalos off Ebay, as we have cleaned out the local coin stores stock recently. I purchased one particular lot because I could make out that it had this coin a 1916 P which is a needed date. Well I got the coin and I'm thinking I made out pretty well considering the coins condition versus cost. And my pictures don't really do it justice it looks much nicer in hand. Just wondering rough grading thoughts and if the die rotation adds anything to the value. I may just end up keeping the coin aside for the kids collection and getting another 16 P as album filler; as I think this one's a bit too nice for a Whitman album. The black lines on the flip are matched up on both sides to hopefully give an idea of the degree of die rotation. Thanks.
Die rotation adds nothing - or at least until you get to 90°+. Cannot tell whether it is AU, MS, or cleaned from those pictures.
I'll do that when I get home I have to head to class until later tonight but will do so when I return.
